چکیده

The effects of phytase and tannase enzyme treatment sorghum-based broiler diets on ileal villi characteristics were evaluated in Cobb 500 broilers. A total three sorghum levels, 0, 50, 100%, with 4 levels; 5% phytase, phytase+tannase combination used to develop 12 different dietary treatments. Three hundred sixty broilers randomly allocated the treatments a completely randomized design experiment. On day 42, two birds from each replicate selected slaughtered for morphometry analyses. 2cm tissue sample ileum was cut prepared histological Villus height width, muscularis externa thickness, crypt depth measured light microscope using calibrated eyepiece graticule. surface area calculated, which indicates digestive absorptive capacity ileum. Ileal digestibility of amino acids, phosphorus, phytate and energy in pigs fed sorghum-based diets supplemented with phytase and Pancreatin®.

The effects of phytase supplementation on the apparent ileal digestibility (AID) of amino acids (AA) have been inconsistent. Two experiments evaluated the effect of providing a mixture of pancreatic enzymes (Pancreatin(®) ) to growing pigs fed sorghum-soybean meal diets supplemented with phytase on the AID of AA, energy, and phosphorus (P), as well as the ileal digestibility (ID) of phytate; th...

Influence of limestone and phytase on broiler performance, gastrointestinal pH, and apparent ileal nutrient digestibility.

An experiment was conducted to determine the influence of 2 levels of dietary Ca from limestone and 3 levels of phytase on broiler performance, bone ash, gastrointestinal pH, and apparent ileal digestibility (AID) of Ca, P, and amino acids. Cobb 500 broilers (n = 576) were allowed access to one of 6 corn-soy diets from 0 to 16 d. Experimental diets contained 1.03% or 0.64% Ca from limestone and...

Performance and carcass characteristics of Cobb × Cobb 500 slow-feathering male broilers fed on dietary programs having stepwise increases in ideal protein density

The Cobb × Cobb 500 slow-feathering male is a fast early-growth broiler grown under variable feeding programs and amino acid (AA) densities. An experiment was conducted using diets with increased ideal protein densities in a feeding program of 1 to 7 d, 8 to 21 d, 22 to 35d, and 36 to 42 d. Diets had ratios between essential digestible (D) AA and DLys (DAA:DLys) as follows: TSAA, 75%; DThr, 65%...

Valine needs in starting and growing Cobb (500) broilers.

Two independent experiments were conducted with male Cobb × Cobb 500 broilers to determine the optimal valine-to-digestible-lysine ratio for broiler development. We conducted a randomized block experiment with 7 treatments, each with 8 replicates of 25 starter birds (8 to 21 d of age) and 20 finisher (30 to 43 d of age) birds. To prevent any excess of digestible lysine, 93% of the recommended l...

Effect of calcium level and phytase addition on ileal phytate degradation and amino acid digestibility of broilers fed corn-based diets.

This study investigated the effect of dietary Ca to available P (AvP) ratio and phytase supplementation on bone ash, ileal phytate degradation, and nutrient digestibility in broilers fed corn-based diets. The experimental design was a 4 × 2 factorial arrangement of treatments evaluating 4 Ca:AvP ratios (1.43, 2.14, 2.86, and 3.57) and 2 levels of phytase (0 and 1,000 phytase units/kg of feed). ...
